Shihan Kenneth Funakoshi, the founder of the Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association, began his martial arts training at the age of ten under Adriano Emperado in the style of Kempo. It wasn’t until the 1950’s that Shihan Funakoshi began training in Shotokan under Hirokazu Kanazawa. The same Hirokazu Kanazawa who was the world’s most renowned and respected traditional Japanese Shotokan Master. On this DVD Shihan Funakoshi will demonstrate and explain in detail the following katas, Kanku Sho, Bassai Sho, Jitte, Chinte and Tekki Sandan.
