Description
Mario Higaonna, a prominent Okinawan Karate practitioner, performs a series of warm ups and stretching exercises for Volume 1, of this collection of 24 DVDs, dealing with mastering traditional Goju-Ryu Karate. These exercises are meant to improve the nervous system, relax the body and are demonstrated by Master Higaonna himself. He begins by working the toes, moving on to the ankles, the knees, showing every warm up needed to possess great kicks. Also taught are stretches for the upper body, arms, shoulders, body twists, hip rotations, shoulder stretches and when to breathe in and out, while always paying attention to relaxing the body. Wrist and palm action is also demonstrated with crisp, fast movements performed by Master Higaonna. Simulated strikes against an opponent are also revealed and much, much more.
