This DVD starts with Larry Tatum performing the long form 5 for
black belt. He starts out describing how this is an intricate kata,
the hands never stop moving, and that it is rather long and very
fluid. Tatum then isolates each move and breaks it down in his
easy to follow style. Next, he brings in one of his assistants and
discusses and demonstrates this kata’s moves against a knife
and a club. Using two assistants he fights both attackers, takes
the stick from one to use on the other. Tatum also
demonstrates defenses against an attacker with a gun. He
ends the tutorial by performing the kata at full speed and power
and it is then shown again in slow motion.
