Passing Of A True Giant

Passing Of A True Giant

San Francisco Legend Mr. Lee (Clarence)

We just learnt of the passing of a true giant Mr. Lee (Clarence) born in 1927 he passed away Oct 9th 2016.

When we talk about a life time of martial arts this is a man that truly lived, ate and slept martial arts. He studied under the best of the very best including names like Richard "Biggie" KIm, Chosin Chibana and many in San Francisco's fabeled China Town for years and years.

I went to his 80th birthday party where he did a form with the Kwan Dao that was amazing swinging it rolling on the ground and so much more it was amazing.

His brother Herbert and Richard also martial artists will, we are for sure going to miss their big brother.

When asked why some martial artists didn't like him he simply said "because I tell the truth" and man oh man did he tell it the way he seen it with no reservations.

I for one will also miss Clarence (Mr. Lee) as I always enjoyed Dim Sum with he and Ann in the heart of China Town and listening to his stories and the way he seen things.

When ever I think of Clarence my friend and senior I will think of the beautiful and magnificent Golden Gate Bridge as he certainly bridged the gap between Eastern and Western Martial arts.

God Bless Clarence and his best friend Anne. Stay strong Anne we are all there with you in your grieving.
