10 Coisas Que Eu Gosto Sobre O Brasil

Some of you may have heard by now that I am now living in Rio de Janeiro for the next two months well now it is actually 6 weeks.

But here are just ten things I like about this place.

1. I love the people and their attitude towards life. No one seems to be in a hurry to do anything.

2. I love the challenge of having to learn a new language. My goal is at least one new phrase a day for 60 days.

3. The food is so different and so good with very little preservatives in it. Leave a loaf of bread out for 2 days its dry as a bone.

4. I am once again a white belt when it comes to martial arts. I enjoy learning and recalling all the techniques of Jiu Jitsu I learnt from Sensei Kim and Professor Wally Jay.

5. It's impossible to not like Rio with its beaches with its great cultural scenery like the statue of Christ looking down on you all the time.

6. The simple challenge of going into a grocery store and buying food and comparing the prices to the USA.

7. Getting a simple text from a new friend saying Tudo Bem amigo?

8.Seeing and appreciating how much we in America or Canada actually have and we do not truly appreciate it until we do not have it anymore. Like an even sidewalk that you can not trip on.

9. Super strong coffee that gets you totally wired for about an hour while sitting on Copacabana.

10. Realizing that everyone no matter where you live has problems in their lives it is how you deal with them that really counts.
