This once in a life time opportunity to read the masters words is a very rare opportunity. You are helping to preserve the history of Japanese Karate and at the same time bring the words of the founder to readers in 7 different languages English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French Japanese and Hindi. They include Funakoshi Sensei's 9 books 1922, 1928, 1935, 1941, 1941P, 1951, 1956 and 1958. The translation is by someone who is not a martial artist intentionally so that there is no bias for style, or instructor. These are all the original photos and drawings from the original books. They come with authorization and red seal plus an original stamp showing that they are authentic and each book is signed by the publisher. Each book is a laminated hardcover book and the color printing inside and out is of the highest quality possible. Then for protection we have placed each book in a slip case and then the set is placed in yet another slip case for additional protection. Each book is numbered and the project has 9 people involved in its production from Japan, Canada, Brazil and USA. We have taken every possible detail to the highest level of production as these books are not just for reading and learning but they are an investment like the other Limited Edition Translations we have done by Hironori Otsuka, Choki Motobu and Taira Shinken. One of these books is now on sale on E-Bay for 4 times the original price. This monumental project will take 3 years to complete as much of the Japanese is over 100 years old and many of the kanji Characters are no longer used so out translator Ayano Shimada must look up the meanings in old dictionaries and the history in ancient texts on Okinawa to make sense out of what is translated. She has then also added translator notes to explain the history further. The first three books will be released this summer of 2023 in English and the rest shortly within the next 18 months.
